Valley Wide Petition Drive -- May 30th through August 27, 1998th

#1 Support The Petition Drive

Whether you can send $5, $25, $100 or more, the expense of the petition drive must be paid for by contributions. The costs include mailings, printing, legal costs and the costs of distributing the petitions. There are no contribution limits and names of contributors will remain confidential upon their request. Please consider making a contribution.

#2 Neighbor to Neighbor

Collect signatures from your neighbors in your own local area. Valley VOTE will provide you with a list of registered voters in your neighborhood, which will include phone numbers so you can pre-call for their signatures. A poll shows that 8 out of 10 residents want to sign this petition. Goal: 25 signature a week. Call Jeff Brain (818) 501-5862 or E-mail

#3 High Traffic Sites

Collect signatures at busy locations such as markets, theaters and at community events. Every Saturday & Sunday, join local residents from noon to 3pm in your own area who meet at a designated location and then spread out to collect signatures in the area. #4 Community Group Distribution

Valley community and business groups are being asked to distribute petitions through their membership and to make petitions available at their meetings, and events during the petition drive period – May 30th – Aug. 27th. Call Pat Cook at (818) 884-1266 or E-mail

#5 Distribute at Local Business


Place petitions at your business or work location so customers can sign or pick up petitions. Valley VOTE will supply you with a small sign for your business window and will list your business name and address on promotional material. Call Valley VOTE offices 501-5862 or E-mail
